Bryan Adams Is Celebrating A Birthday!

It’s Bryan Adams birthday!

The Canadian legend has sold between 75 million and more than 100 million records worldwide!

Adams made his debut ate the age of 20, but rose to fame in 1983 with the top ten album Cuts Like a Knife, powered by the single "Straight from the Heart", which became his first top-ten hit. He followed that with his number one album, Reckless, which made him the Canadian to be certified diamond. The singles "Run to You" and "Summer of '69", both hit the top ten, and the power ballad "Heaven", went number one. He would end the 80’s with “Into the Fire”, and the top ten single, "Heat of the Night", which rose to number two.

In 1991, Adams hit pop superstardom with the single "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", which reached number one, becoming one of the best-selling singles of all time, having sold more than 15 million copies worldwide. The song was part of the soundtrack for the Kevin Costner film Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves, but was also on his album “Waking Up the Neighbours”, which also spawned the number two hit "Can't Stop This Thing We Started". In the 90’s Adams' had some of the biggest ballads of the decade, including "Please Forgive Me", "All for Love", and "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?".

Adams career as an artist and songwriter has ranked him 48th on the list of all-time top artists on the Billboard Hot 100, winning 20 Juno Awards, 16 Grammy nominations, five Golden Globe nominations and three Academy Awards. Adams has been inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Canada's Walk of Fame, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
