Foreigner is back with Lou Gramm and now they wanna make more music with him!
The two have been finishing previous unreleased songs from the band's archive, and now fans will get to hear even more! Foreigner is taking songs from sessions for two of their classic albums,
"Tim Pedersen, is working on some of this stuff," said bassist Jeff Pilson. "There's another track that we have. Lou wants to add a couple of harmonies to it, which he'll probably be doing relatively soon between now and when we do the Foreigner 4 shows and then that will be ready to be mixed."
Their new single, "Fool If You Love Him"! was written by Mick Jones and Gramm back during the sessions for "4" in 1981, the song will now be included on new super deluxe editions to be released on September 12.
"Fool If You Love Him" was unfinished and shelved during the recordings at Electric Lady Studios, now Gramm returned with a new verse to bring the song back to life.
Now, for the first time ever, fans can hear the finished version of a track that almost never was.
"We found an unfinished song in all the files. The song had one verse in it, and Lou had sung one verse and he sang the chorus.” Bassist Jeff Pilson said “And it was great, but it was only one verse. He was mumbling the second verse. So we called Lou. We said, 'What do you think about finishing and singing the song?' So he said, 'Absolutely.' He wrote and finished two verses and sang them. He added cowbell. And we have now a new, old FOREIGNER song that will be on the FOREIGNER '4' release coming out in September.”
